The Prime Minister will soon address approximately 3,000 industry professionals following a tour of the event’s pavilions.
Piyush Goyal, Minister of Industry and Supply, highlighted India’s growing influence in the global automotive landscape and said, “The Bharat Mobility Expo has become the second biggest automotive show in the world.” He added that the automotive sector will play a pivotal role in achieving India’s vision of becoming a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047.
Several key launches and presentations mark the first day of the expo. Maruti Suzuki unveiled its first electric vehicle, the e-Vitara, a major milestone in its journey towards electric mobility.
Hyundai introduced the e-Creta, officially launching the vehicle and announcing its pricing, further expanding its electric offerings. Tata Motors showcased two significant additions, the production-ready Sierra EV and Harrier EV, signalling its focus on innovative design and sustainability.

Other major launches included MG Motor’s unveiling of the MG Cyberster, an electric sports car, and the M9, a presidential limousine designed for luxury and performance. Porsche presented the Macan ICE GTS and the Macan BEV, offering attendees a glimpse of its diverse approach to mobility.
Chinese automaker BYD introduced the Sealion 7, a high-performance electric SUV, while Vietnam’s VinFast made its Indian debut with a range of electric vehicles tailored to the local market.
Two-wheelers also took the spotlight as Hero MotoCorp launched new models, including the Xtreme 250, Xpulse 210, Zoom 160, and Zoom 125, catering to varied consumer preferences. Ola Electric, Ather, TVS, and Bajaj Auto showcased their latest electric and flex-fuel vehicles.

Luxury brands BMW and Mercedes-Benz presented their latest vehicles, drawing significant attention from attendees. Meanwhile, VE Commercial Vehicles and Greaves Cotton highlighted their contributions to sustainable commercial mobility, showcasing electric and hydrogen fuel cell innovations.
